PBS News Offers Live Coverage of Inauguration Day 2025

Arlington, VA (January 17, 2025)–PBS News will provide live coverage of Inauguration Day 2025 beginning at 10:30 am E.T. on Monday, January 20 on PBS stations (check local listings) and streaming on PBS News’ digital and social platforms. The special will include the swearing-in of the 47th President of the United States Donald J. Trump and the 50th Vice President of the United States JD Vance.

Inauguration of Donald J. Trump: A PBS News Special will be co-anchored by Amna Nawaz and Geoff Bennett, and coverage will include reporting from PBS News Hour White House correspondent Laura Barrón-López at the White House, Capitol Hill correspondent Lisa Desjardins at the Capitol, correspondent John Yang and national correspondent Stephanie Sy on the National Mall, foreign affairs & defense correspondent Nick Schifrin, and senior correspondent Judy Woodruff.

Analysis will be provided by editor-in-chief of the Cook Political Report Amy Walter, Washington Post associate editor Jonathan Capehart, New York Times op-ed columnist David Brooks, Republican strategist Kevin Madden, and former Republican U.S. Senate candidate Tiffany Smiley.
